Review: HealthSmart Vibrating Foam Roller, FSA/HSA eligible

TLDR: it is worthy of your FSA/HSA dollars

The HealthSmart Vibrating Foam Roller item arrived packaged in a sturdy box. No damage to product! Inside the box, the foam roller was inside a black travel case. There was a smell to the item, not strong, but definite sweet smelling plastic scent. I'm highly sensitive to smells, and this was tolerable. After having this item for nearly a month now, this smell has gone away.

I would say the only con is the high price. Pricing similar looking foam rollers with no vibration on Amazon, these run about $30. For the vibes you're shelling out an additional $40

This has 4 levels of vibration. Level 1 is intense enough for me. I haven't tried rolling on the floor with the vibes since it does roll away, only on the couch for my upper back.

Another use I found is back support. Of course this can be achieved with a regular foam roller, not necessarily this particular one. This provides back support when I'm using my recumbent bike. I'm 5'1", and even set on the shortest knob I end up sliding off the bike after 20 min. This props me up enough to no longer have that issue.

I'm a novice when it comes to using a foam roller, and was definitely not able to use as advertised. See pic below.

For myself since I am plus size, with no core strength, I did have to hold onto our coffee table to hold myself and roll. I also suggest using on top of a cushion (the purple cushion!) or even placing on top of your sofa for a less intense foam rolling experience. I also used by placing my back against the sofa for support and rolling.

Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase and have actually considered purchasing another one for my husband.
