Ultimate guide: Best stores like Torrid but cheaper

Here's my picks for the best stores like Torrid, not Lane Bryant, Catherine's or Woman Within. I'm always on these sites checking out their latest designs and would say these are similar styles to Torrid. Most of my picks are also on the cheaper side, which if you know Torrid can be expensive if you simply can't wait for the sales. Check out this post if you would like to find out when the best time is to shop at Torrid.

I shop at Forever 21 for their graphic tees. On their site, they also have a Find my Size feature which asks you questions so you can get a fit similar to your favorite brand. I answered the questions to find my size at Forever 21, and they recommended size 3x. This feature is accurate as that is usually the size I purchase (Torrid 1 or 2).  These are my picks for graphic tees that are similar to Torrid's selection. One downside is they only go up to Torrid size 1 or 2 at the most.

Hot Topic: Did you know they have a plus size section with sizing similar to Torrid? Take a look at their size chart, looks like at Hot Topic I'm a size 2. Hot Topic carries a lot of styles Torrid used to be known for in the early 2000's, edgier goth vibes & rockabilly/retro style. Lots of sales, I always stock up on their graphic tees when they have them on sale for $12-$15

Pretty Little Thing for on trend/insta baddie fits.

ASOS Curve: This site has a mix of high and low end pieces. There's also plenty of athleisure wear, club fits, and beautiful dresses. ASOS also has their own budget friendly on-trend line.

Nasty Gal for classy, edgy clothing. Can be on the higher end, wait for the sales.

Shein for the shopper on a budget or who likes to change their look frequently. Their activewear section alone has almost 1,000 items! Bonus: they carry a small collection called Shein Fit plus of clothing up to size 34! πŸ‘πŸ‘

The viral tiktok leggings short..this pose made me laugh..

BOOHOO I judge most stores by their graphic t-shirts. If it's a licensed tee, they get even more points..πŸ‘πŸ‘

MISSGUIDED similar styles to boohoo, and Nasty Gal. Here's a sample.

For athleisure (which is my style 24/7), I shop at Adidas. I take a size 1 in their bottoms, size 2 fits better for tops. To compare sizing, I'm a Torrid size 1 for both tops and bottoms. Adidas goes up to size 4x. One day I WILL own a piece from a Beyonce x Adidas collection. Wait for the sales..they have 40% off frequently. The only thing that sells out is any Beyonce collection.

I want this whole fit, yes even the hat.

Also Nike: I haven't purchased plus size clothing from here yet (only the best shoes for step aerobics, which I intend to do a post on soon), though I do love looking at their designs. Sizes are comparable to Torrid's, but only go up to a 3x. Wait for the sales, they also have 40% off frequently like Adidas.

Anything blue tie dye is always on my wishlist..

retro vibes with the polo, but cropped keeping it current..I want this entire outfit, the shoes look comfy too. Totally my style.

Sexy AND sporty

Now, if I was asked 15 years ago this same question (best stores like Torrid, but cheaper), I would've also mentioned Dots and Deb's. RIPπŸ™

*I will update this post if/when I think of other stores..or comment your faves.
