Torrid black wash & dark wash stiletto skinny jeans smell like vinegar

A Torrid facebook fan mentioned a vinegar/barn smell coming from her pants. This seems to happen alot not only with their graphic tees, but also the dark/black wash jeans. I do not have any tips, fortunately I was able to get the smell out of my shirt just by washing it. If anyone has any helpful tips for getting the smell out, please feel free to share.

Has anyone out there figured out how to get rid of that nasty vinegar/barn smell that the dark and black wash denim have?? I use the same washer as the rest of the people in my apartment and cannot open the door once the cycle has started to be able to add anything. I have heard about adding vinegar and baking soda, but I don't know how vinegar would help something that already reeks--every single pair of darker washes have this smell...I'd love to keep the black stiletto skinnys I just got but the smell is overpowering--any tips??

re: Torrid Sizing Review

Sizing review for:

Shirts/Tops: My bust is 45" and I wear a size "2" in Torrid tops. For graphic tees this is spot on for the most part. There have been some graphic tees I have purchased and they fit fine in the bust area, but are SUPER long and make me feel like I am wearing a dress. This is why I wish Torrid would list the sizing of the length of the shirts. This would make my online shopping experience even more convenient. For myself, I have noticed that lengths that are longer than 29" tend to be the one that looks like I'm wearing a dress (I'm 5'1").
*Another note: in my experience "dolman" tops run large. I go one size down. I once bought a dolman top, and kept it thinking it would shrink. NOPE.Click the link to read more about it.

Jeans: Accord to Torrid I'm a size 22 due to my 42" waist. This is NOT the case. I do not fit in their size 22, but rather size 18. If I were to wear a 22, they would be baggy, and just not look right.

Underwear: Also according to Torrid sizing chart, I wear a size 3 underwear. Also not true, I have purchased many size 3 underwear thinking they would shrink in the wash. WRONG. They only got baggier in the butt, but they did fit me in the waist. Over time I ended up throwing most of the size 3 underwear out, too much baby diaper, not sexy at all! If I buy a 2, they are tight in the butt area and waist. I do not win at wearing Torrid underwear. I just buy fruit of the loom now, even though they are not as pretty as Torrid's selection. :(

re: Torrid Blue Wash Isabella bootleg jeans, Source of Wisdom review

Well...I have ALOT to say about Torrid "JEANS". They may call them "JEANS" but they are NOT JEANS. Let me explain. The jeans Torrid has are...simply put LEGGINS disguised as jeans. They are a stretchy material composing of 78% cotton, 20% polyester, and 2% spandex (these particulars are for the Blue Wash Isabella Bootleg "Jeans"). After a couple of wears these will begin to sag and fall off your hips, and you WILL need a belt. It also kinda feels like you are wearing a diaper.

So my suggestion if you want REAL JEANS. Get the jeans without polyester, with as much cotton as possible, (example: 98%-99 cotton, 1-2% spandex). I noticed the luxury brands Torrid carries are the ones without the polyester. Correct me if I'm wrong. Vigoss or Silver jeans would be a good example of jeans without polyester. Those are actual REAL jeans made of 99% cotton and 1% spandex.

In conclusion, you will need to spend at least $80 to get a REAL pair of jeans, but I can tell you it is a good investment. The pair I have fit fabulously, actually stay on, and are very durable.
Down with the baby diaper pants!

Torrid Review: Torrid Denim - Roxanne Bombay Bootleg Jeans (Short) RETURNED

I purchased the Torrid Denim in style Roxanne Bombay bootleg jeans (size 18 short). Currently they are on sale for 39.99 which is why I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately they did not work out for me and I will have to return them.

This style was about 2 inches too long on the length. The inseam listed on the Torrid website states that they are 30" inseam. I measured from the crotch down the leg, and measured a 32" inseam. I would say these run more like a regular length jean, not a short size jean. The fit (size 18) was comfortable, the length was not.

I ended up purchasing another pair of jeans off the Torrid website that fit perfectly. I will be writing a review on these pair of jeans soon.

ETA 5-23-12: I know they have an "extra short" cut, but if I bought those I bet they would be too small for me in the length. I made that mistake once, and bought extra short, and they shrank and was left with high water pants.
