The best plus size capri pants for summer 2022

Here are my picks for the best capri pants. I prefer cotton capri pants or a spandex material over the jean type. Either way, I will list a few that are jean capri pants. This post will also include how I would style or what to wear with capri pants.

Now, since my favorite store is Torrid, these picks will all be from there, but the tips I give can be applied to any capri pants.

According to wikipedia: capri pants (also known as three quarter legs,or capris, crop pants, man-pris, clam-diggers, flood pants, jams, highwaters, or toreador pants) are pants that are longer than shorts, but are not as long as trousers.

First off, these simple black cotton capri pants give an athletic look with the white stripes. For the Adidas look without breaking the bank. 😊 I would wear this with an over sized band tee or a simple tunic top. Or if using for a workout a tank top and sports bra.

Next are these "denim" type capri pants. The quotes is because it's not TRUE denim, rather an imitation but similar in appearance to denim. These are super stretchy and slimming due to no pockets or zipper, and a bonus: they are pull on type. Also available in 22 inch inseam which means for a shortie like me, they should not be too long on my 5'1" frame.

This pic is exactly how I would wear these type of capris. Perfect for the summer weather at the office, super casual style.

 Beautiful color!

and unique waist band!

Next up these black spandex capris with a 21 inch inseam. The material on these is moisture wicking to keep you cool during a workout or a hot summer day. My only con with these is you have to make sure you have freshly shaved legs, or the pants pull on your leg hairs.

Yes, even on a hot summer day, you may catch me wearing all black. This is how I would also wear my capri active wear pants.

Below are a few picks I, personally would avoid if you're short or trying to streamline your look.

This pair I would avoid due to a longer inseam at 25 inches, and also the folded thick cuffs at the bottom. If you're trying to go for a more slimmed down appearance, avoid any extra material that adds bulk at your legs.

Try Torrid's crop lean jean for a slimmer look.

Technically, these pants are not capris, rather culottes, but similar in length. These could also add extra bulk to your lower half. If these were styled better, I would recommend. For the culottes I would pick a slimmer top since the bottom is big & flowy.

I would style these pants instead with a slim tank
