Torrid shoes review

Whatever you do...DO NOT buy the shoes from Torrid until they fix the quality. Sad to see! This picture taken from the Torrid facebook page. The customer said she had only worn them 4 times! Luckily Torrid says if you purchased them in store to return them there. Or if purchased online someone from the Torrid facebook page will help you with the return.

Sadly, I know alot of ladies buy the shoes from Torrid because 1. they are pretty but it's mainly because the shoes are 2. sold in wide width. I've heard customers say it's very hard to find wide width shoes in pretty shoe designs. So Torrid will continue to sell these low quality poorly designed shoes, the customers will continue to eat them up.

I've said it before, but please save your money and buy your shoes else where. Or wait until they are on clearance.

Torrid Cinderella

I love how Disney is offering up hip & stylish clothing options for adults.

I love subtlety when it comes to Disney stuff. Stuff that you have to be a fan of to "get" that's it's actually Disney stuff. One of those collections would be the Cinderella Torrid dresses.

When the Cinderella line popped up Torrid customers went crazy for it. If I remember correctly that stuff sold out quick, and they brought some pieces back due to high demand.

My favorite piece has to be this Cinderella inspired dress. Can you see the glass slipper silhouettes throughout the dress? I can't quite make out what the other silhouettes are? Is that supposed to the the carriage?

I love anything with quotes, so this along with it being Cinderella themed is a WIN in my book.

May the fourth be with you tshirts at Torrid & Hot Topic

Today is May the 4th aka "may the fourth be with you" a play on "May the force be with you".

Torrid has 1 t-shirt that is Star Wars themed.  But to be honest...Hot Topic is where you want to head for Star Wars themed stuff. They have tons to choose from. Just if you are going to buy any of the clothing, may I suggest searching the men's section for a better fit. I"m a Torrid size 2, and I fit into the men's XL.

My favorite Star Wars themed items from Hot Topic are this R2d2 dress, don't know if this is a Halloween costume or not, but can you imagine this in plus size? OMG that would be so amazing.

Also love this  vintage looking tank top from Hot Topic.

My pick from the men's section is this tye dyed Darth Vader t-shirt.

Torrid shipping prices

As of May 2015, U.S. customers pay a flat rate of $6

Of course it's extra if you want overnight or 2-3 day delivery. When you choose these options keep in mind this doesn't include the time it takes for Torrid to process your order. Also don't use this service on a Friday expecting to get your order on a Saturday or even Monday. It's not going to happen. If you order Friday, the next day they will process your order will likely be Monday for delivery on Tuesday, unless of course that is what you want.

And...don't get me started on International shipping prices...Torrid needs to work harder on opening some stores overseas. I know your international customers having been dying to get some stores in their area so they don't have to deal with the shipping charges.

My Torrid store experience: buying a torrid dress

Long time no blog?

I recently went instore to Torrid to try to find a dress. I printed out the picture of the dress I was looking for...and come to find out it was an ONLINE ONLY exclusive. Wahhhh so I missed that part apparently when I was looking online on the Torrid website. UGH! Why do you do this to me Torrid? And I NEVER go into the Torrid store and the 1 time I decide to in nearly 10 years and the dress I really wanted was ONLINE only!

Anyways I decided to look around at the other dresses there and was sooo disappointed. I found 1 other dress I was semi-interested in and the fit was horrible. I don't know about you, but when I wear something I don't like for my bra to show...and yea it showed big time. Lace open back dress below.

Under the pits was a huge gaping space and my bra was not covered. Every where else though the fit was perfect. I'm a size 18/20 and tried on the size 2. And the sales lady already knew before I told her why the dress didn't work out for me...she was like "it was the huge lack of material under the arms, right?" so she already knew alot of people had trouble wearing this dress. Maybe I needed to size up due to my large bust? I should just stick to  my rules when it comes to shopping at Torrid, which is if you have a large bust avoid anything empire waist cuz it's not going to fit you properly.
